Jan. 29-31

Last weekend, Jan. 29-31, My dad and I headed to Lewistown to meet up with Jourdon for the Winter Fair. Unfortunately, my mom was not able to come. We stayed with some family friends of ours, Terry and Joan Gill on Friday night and had the BEST steak sandwiches ever made! Saturday morning the kiddie rodeo kicked off and not to our suprise, 58 kids showed up. We had a blast! After the kiddie rodeo we went out to lunch with Tom Benson from the Back Country Horseman. Paul Huff joined us as Tom and I toured around the Winter Fair. I helped with a Death by Chocolate auction. After the auction my dad and I drove to Billings for the Montana Pro Rodeo Hall and Wall of Fame dinner. Jourdon and I helped with the heads and tails game and carried auction items during the live auction. We also got to take pictures with the inductees. Sunday Morning we met with Jill Bailey from Diamond J Leather who is making both Jourdon and my chaps! It was so exciting to get all of our ideas put together. After breakfast with Jill, we went to the Hospital in Billings to visit Cadence. She gave me a new appreciation for life, what a strong girl. I look forward to seeing her in the future. As our final stop for the weekend Jourdon and I headed to Bozeman for the Outdoor Show and represented the Montana Trappers Assoc. and got to wear our furs! It was a great first-weekend as MTRM! What an awesome start to my year.
